QR code generator
Make QR codes for links, Wi-Fi, contact cards, events and more. Style them with your own shapes, colours and logo, then download PNG, JPEG, WebP, SVG or PDF at any size.

Higher levels survive scratches, dirt and logos, but need more modules for the same content.
The empty border scanners need around the code. The standard asks for 4 modules.
Why I built it
Most QR code generators online sit behind a paywall, ask you to register, or lock their features into a subscription. This one is completely free, with no account, and still has lots of functionality. I use it myself every time I need a QR code.
Tips for codes that scan
- Contrast matters most. Dark modules on a light background work everywhere. Light on dark works in most phone cameras but not in every scanner app.
- A logo hides part of the code. Error correction rebuilds what is missing: level H recovers about 30%, so the generator switches to H when you add a logo. Keep the logo under a quarter of the width, and watch the scan check.
- Leave the quiet zone. Scanners look for the empty border around the code. Keep it at 4 modules when the code sits next to other graphics in print.
- Print it big enough. About 2 cm wide is the minimum for a phone held close; as a rule of thumb, make the code a tenth as wide as the distance it is scanned from.
- Test before you print. The scan check decodes the design in your browser; then try it with your phone, ideally on paper.
Which format to pick
- PNG for documents, slides and most websites. The print resolution is written into the file, so it lands at the right physical size in layout software.
- SVG for designers and the web: vector, sharp at any size, and editable in Figma, Illustrator or Inkscape.
- PDF for print shops: a vector page at the printed size you picked.
- JPEG when a system accepts nothing else. It has no transparency.
- WebP for small files on the web.
Privacy
Everything happens in your browser: what you encode, your Wi-Fi password and your logo are never uploaded, and there is no account. The design and download settings are remembered in this browser so your next code matches the last one; what you encoded is not stored. Reset clears it all.
